maps needed

I mentioned in the introduce yourself post just now that my clan is trying to start an alternate weapons league - I have written up 3, and am working on a 4th map for it, but any maps you have that we could use would be appreciated. Any map used in this league will strip the players of their initial weapons and arm all players with weapons from one or more of the categories:

Rocket, Melee, Grenade, Pistol.

I have currently a Grenade/Melee; a Pistol/Melee and a Rocket/Grenade/Melee, and am working on one suitable for all four weapons. I don't relish writing all the maps myself, as it is time consuming. I have tended to avoid making them all melee, as I find it non-strategic at that point, but melee with any other weapon seems to work alright.

If anyone has already written one, or would be willing to *******ise one of their maps (of an appropriate size and layout) by altering it to spawn weapons in this manner (with weapon reloads (pistol ammo, rockets and nades as required) in moderately accessible areas to allow for reloading I'd appreciate it, and it would mean that somewhere people might be playing it if it gets enough interest. We are planning 5 on 5 matches most likely, though we may go up to 7 on 7 or so, so maps should not be huge.

Thanks to anyone who responds to this - it is a weird idea I guess, but we goof around with rockets and stuff anyway, so why not give it a go?

You can use any of my maps if you want. That's what they are there for.

Just click the picture in my sig and make your way to the download section. You will need the RMF and BSP to get all of the files required (wads/sounds/models ... etc).

I'm not willing to edit it them for you, I just don't have the time to do that, but feel free to find/ask someone else that is willing to take one of the maps and edit it it for you.

Good luck with you project.

Thanks! I am competant to edit them easily; I figured it would be far too forward to ask for a .map or .rmf from anyone, but I would gladly make a dod_sampol_r with your permission. Thanks very much.

Edit - I notice you included some settings for the map compiles - I am assuming since there were no notes as to the number of bounces, gamma scaling, smooth and other rad settings that they are at default for your maps? Do you mind if I play with the sky/lighting levels/shadows (by altering bounce) or shall I stick to your settings?

A very cool thing would be to make what was in an old ofp map: when round starts nobody has weapons and the 2 teams are facing each other. Between them, a few weapons. Players must run to the weapons! Then they respawn behind.

I got 4 or 5 rmf for you. For 5 vs 5. Would be glad to help but currently busy on other projects and worse my steam is screwed, windows reboots when i join a server LOL.

yea ... default settings otherwise. Adjust as you like.

Like I said the maps are there for you to do what you like with. My maps have always been "Open Sorce".
