looks decent, but very similiar to dod_flash. Nothing wrong with that though, is it going to be UK vs Ger or US vs Ger?

the story line is goin to be that the brits in flash screwed up and us has arrived in a different part of teh town to fix the problem brits made.

hehe. nice story. and the maps looks pretty good. i remember very vaguely the first few screenies you posted, and youve definately come along way in terms of brushwork. The terrain and landscaping is looking good and natural. keep it up. :)

Xerent orginally made dod_flash back in the beta days, unfortunatly the original .rmf got lost in a HD crash. He then remade it, well it was a new map and called it dod_flash2. This version was funky as it had 4 seperate wads, one for spring,summer,autumn,winter. You changed the wad and the map changed to that season. It was fun. The current version of Flash is the updated version of Flash2 in the autumn season.

Edit: Can you make your pics 50% smaller so people on dialup can load them quickly, they are rather large.

There should be a few flat areas, if you make everything V shaped where the brushes come together the clip hull is going to cause you a lot of gimpy problems. Even like flash already, you get stuck in a lot of areas because of the way HL clips triangle brushes with too sharp of an angle. Too many intersecting causes players to get stuck.

Yes And No,

Yes: People Do Get Stuck, but thats only when the triangles are in different width and lenth sizes,
No: People dont not get stuck when u have them all the same in a good order:

eep. thats a lot of brushes. and a lot of them are probably unnessary... but if it runs well and the r_speeds are down... well lots not start that debate again.

I think you could easily get away with your "squares" (2 triangles together) taking up 4 of the current ones, would certainly reduce wpoly, combined with scaling the floor texture up, even lower wpoly.
