Here's a springfeild w/ a tangent sight instead of a scope. It also includes the tangent scope sprite. Special thanks to Mortar for his help and Trigger for his 2 cents.

After using it I have one little problem with it. The middle crosshair part is a bit too large. It doesn't work to well at long ranes because it covers the entire enemy. Nevertheless I still love how it looks.

I've noticed that too. I'll update the scope sprite tomorrow w/ a thinner middle sight.

I used to have these scope sprites which enabled me to see all round the edges, and my flat-mate said it was an exploit and I had an un-fair advantage. Ive since gone with billyniars awsome spritepack.

I dont think u have an unfair advantage. What do u think?

I don't think so, It seems a little weird to controll because the sight placement. I feel that it all evens out.

Here's the updated tangent sight sprite. I made it thinner and transparent for those long range shots.

Very very impressed with this.

This was discussed ages ago, around the time Vietcong came out actually, but no one really moved on it. Glad to see someone went with an iron sight scope, especially so well.

Hats off to you EZ, i will definately be using this. Any plans for P/W weapons.

Yeah heres the link to my commando pack which has the delisle in it. Version 2.0 of this pack is in the works with historically more accurate models including the delisle. Iron sights for this would be cool Cor.

Looks ok, but you should of really blacked the edges out like the default, because as it is now it's a bit of an expliot, bieng able to see more on screen. It reminds me of a similar thing i tried ages ago using a transparent sprite.

Maybe you might like to try the same method with your site, to see what it looks like.

Marzy, instead of making a dark circle around the sight, maybe making the transparent area around it MUCH darker (but not black) would be better. Since looking through a tangent sight has a more narrow view than a scope, the surroundings shouldnt be black. As for a enfield and K98 (scoped) tangent sight, I'll try and push it out in the next couple of days. All will have the same tangent sight sprite.

If you could see the front sight (once one is added) through the tangent that would make everything perfect.

Thats what the middle sight represents in the sprite.
