Clickteam Installer and McAfee

Just an FYI about McAfee's newest virus definitions and the false positive virus detection with Clickteam's installer.

As many of you are well aware, a large portion of the custom map community is using the clickteam install creator program because of it's ease and it's freeware. We at 1dod had a report yesterday evening from several people that our installed maps included a trojan virus called "Unone". We closed our download section, did multiple virus scans, contacted McAfee about this virus (since there was no information anywhere about it) and also notified the clickteam about the reported virus.

It has been shown that the newest virus definition is incorrectly stating that the programs created by install creator contain a trojan virus. This will show up with any program created by the clickteam install creator. This virus DOES NOT EXIST and McAfee will be correcting this problem very soon.

Thanks for the time and hope this information helps you out,
Gman

It also reports a false virus in NSIS installers too.

How funny, I got a report yesterday from someone saying the KK maps had a virus. Norton said they were clean while McAfee said they were dirty. Guess it was just a trick to get us to buy McAfee virus scan.
