well i have mapped on this for about 3 weeks now
so tell me wot ya think ....

finish:
allies start

work to be done:
well the rest i guess

histrory:
The self-propelled version of the 60cm siege mortar was ordered in June 1937. General Karl Becker of the Artillery was involved in the development, hence the name Karl was used to describe the gun. The driving trials were held at Unterlüss in May 1940. Delivery of the six production vehicles took place from November 1940 to August 1941. In February 1941, discussions commenced. concerning increasing the range of the weapon, and in May 1942, 54cm barrels ( Gerät 041 ) were ordered for the six vehicles. At a conference with Hitler in March 1943, it was stated that the first 54cm Gerät 041 would be delivered by June 1943, and the third, by mid-August. The 60cm and 54cm barrels appear to have been interchanged as required. In 1945, US forces captured vehicle II with a 60cm, and vehicle V with a 54cm.

so wot the map is all about is for allies to capture the tank/mortar and then they win.
and the axis has to keep the tank/mortar for some time to win

place:
somewere in germany, in a village with a trainstation. The axis start at trainstation, and allies start in the village. The allies needs to fight there way through the village to capture the Tank/mortar.

seems like a nice start, the road texture doesnt go with the pavement texture because there is a contrast of leaves and no leaves. im sure that will be changed though. seems liek a nice story line too. keep on working on it

The buildings and lighting give me the impression of snow and cold, but the ground doesn't...it seems to clash.

thx for the feedback
and i will work on it

@ ginger lord
i only called it karl because the compiler dont support ä
otherwise it would have been named dod_gerät.
and karl is the man who drawed the mortars.

i like the angles. Not everything is at ninety degrees to each other. Thers some sexy 45 degree stuff happening here. :)

Textures need some work, and theres a building lacking a roof, but its got promise.

It looks a little bland and boring from what we can see in the pics.

dunno if you noticed, but the model you used for a lantern in the 2nd pic (on this page), is actually a bell model... dunno why u added a light entity under it :O

what are you talking about? thats a lamp model? bell..pssh

Looks alright but sky box needs to be changed, the bush model should be removed or changed. Texture choices are meh (like the church with the green vines, not in the winter...and just some other textures that dont have the snowy look) but its looking good
