I'fe been trying to make maps for dod for awhyle now, but every time I'm trying to compile the map I'm getting an unspecified error.
The compiler wasn't able to find mymap.bsp...

If I map for half-life itself I am not getting any error's at all.

So, does this have something to do with my configurations?

Please help me out,

Greyhound.

You are hard to understand.
If your compiler gives your errors how you can
If I map for half-life itself I am not getting any error's at all. ?

Anyway, copy&paste here you .log file (generated by compiler) and/or explain better your problem.

sounds like its failing to do the last step, copy the bsp to your maps folder, this happens to me when the name of the map is more that 7 or 8 letters

for example dod_crappyville.bsp is written as dod_cr~1.bsp, then it looks for a file called dod_crappyville to copy, and cant find it. Just look in your my documents folder or wherever its directed for, its probably there, you can rename it and copy it yourself

I am sorry for being not clear.
The main problem is that the compiler can't create a .bsp file.
From there on, it fails to do the rest, it seems.

Unfortunaly I can't (until monday) give you a compiler log because I'm not at my homebase...

Thanks anyway, more tips are verry welcome!
