Question about map models and "damaged" submodel/animation.

Just a quick Q...

I know when you use a map model you can use a submodel to specify a "damaged" version of the model. But can mappers also say to use a submodel AND to switch to a specific animation?

I'm modelling a U-Boat for someones map and I had the idea of animating it so that the damaged model sinks slowly. Just didnt want to go to the trouble of animating it if the animation cant be used.

For the standard dod_control_pt method. You could use a differnet submodel, thus a different animation for that different submodel, even though it's essentially the same sequence name being run. Just use *another* differnet bone structure/skeleton for the other submodel that animates differently!

Or if u want, use env_model. It supports 2 different animation sequences for Off or On state. For a diffent viewing of damage/undamaged ones for env_model, u need 2 env_models: 1 damange/1 undamaged, andenv_renders + multimanger to handle the toggling of rendering of either these 2 env_models.
