I'm actually rather curious to see how iron sights work with the Bren.

I usually find the IS a lot of fun for a few weeks, but then find myself loathing them and wanting something else. No matter how cool Glimsharp's animations are :)

Ive looked into IS Weapons for this new release :

The DoD Team have changed the way the X-Hair is displayed on screen.

Ive looked in the hud.txt file. Im sad to say that there is only ONE command to display the X-Hair. In BEATA 3.1 the command to display the X-Hair was listed by weapon, now the command is for ALL weapons.

What does this mean ?

If I remove the X-Hair to allow for an IS Weapon - you will have NO X-Hair for ALL weapons :(

Therefore a complete IS PAk is needed to replace ALL Wepon models.

I used to like to "mix and match", some IS and some standard view on my PC.

Now its all or nothing.

Ill look into it some more - if anyone notices somthing ive missed please let me know but it looks grim so far :(

Dunno why the DoD Team decided to change the hud.txt.

All the best.

That would be interesting. But maybe the magazine is off to one side a bit, ala this pic: BREN (http://www.gulfcoastarmory.com/shoots/kcr/4-2002/bren.jpg)

Still, it would block quite a bit, but iron sights almost always do anyway.

if you look just above the pistol grip, there is a little ring, for want of a better word, you look through the "ring" and the front sight on the barell is offset to match the rear sight,

it simply means (for is) that you have the bren slightly to the right of center, get on it glimmy... make an is pack with the default weapons....
