No, No, this isn't one of those how do I insert it/make it/kill it ect... threads.

The models I currently have in my map seem to dissappear whenever I get in a certian position...its not something thats going to kill the map but is it possible to make them not dissappear?

If it's from within Half-Life then it happens all the time, especially with the new maps. I find the tree models in dod_forest disappear all the time

It’s all to do with line-of-sight and VIS Blocking.

I made a map with a bridge and I placed a flag on the bridge. From some points on the map the flag disappeared. This happened when I was looking up at the bridge and the top of the flag was still visible but it would disappear. The only way I could make sure it didn’t disappear was to place the flag on top of a crate.

My theory is that the center point of the modell has to be in line of sight to the player or the whole modell disappears....

What it is is the default vis blocking method.. if the model's origin (point entity) is plocked by vis then you wl not see the model at all so try moving the vis locker that is blocking the model around untill it stops disapearing
