MREL - Fixed Tommy (Non humungous Foregrip) and Shoulder Held version

I started to get annoyed at the huge grip on the tommy gun, that was out of proportion to the rest of the gun, so I opened up milkshape and line up the vertexes the way they are supposed to and Whala!
I have also made a shoulder view version

EDIT: Thanks to Editor321 there is now a download link:
DONWLOAD (http://www.fileplanet.com/dl.aspx?/planethalflife/Editor321/fixedtommy_1_.zip.zip)

Do you know how insolent and spoiled you sound? Do you realize that Editor does that this out of the goodness of his heart, and runs his website for absolutly NO PROFIT?

He doesnt HAVE to host anything, he doesnt have to go out fo his way to make sure you people can enjoy the custom models people create. If it wasn't for him, SS v3 would be sitting on calmly on one hard drive (and you can geuss whos), and thats just one example. He chooses to host these files, and donate a large amount of tiem to maintaining his website, and you have the nerve to insult it. This man doesnt have to do jack ****, but he gives it to you free of charge, and you decide now is the right time to take a cheap shot at him. Thats low, thats incredibly snobbish of you, to not even offer the slightest thanks for what is mostly a thankless chore anyway.

And secondly, what makes fileplanet "ghey"? Its not like it complicated to use. You press the little downlaod button, choose a server that is closest to your home location, and on those rare days, sign in with a phony hotmail account that doesnt even need to exist for more than 2 weeks (you can register the hotmail account, receive and use the confirmation email, and never check your email again, hotmail automatically deletes accounts not accessed for 2 weeks) and your password will still work. Is it THAT complicated? If you found this simple system confusing and "ghey", than i suggest you call that toll free 800number and order those "Learning how to use your computer" CDs, remember, hes so confident you'll love his program, its free!

Not to mention, fileplanet is free, its reliable, and its only weaknesses are its long wait times for popular downloads, and its pop up windows. And c'mon, if you cant handle an ad popup, your a tard, no way around it.

I think you owe Editor and FilePlanet an apology. Without him, and other dedicated hosts, how would we get anything and everything done? You'd be using the default models.

I just can't believe anyone is enough of an ungrateful prick to say any of that.

amen devin. if it wasnt for ed, id have no host for the few petty things i release :0

Whiskas
05-05-2003, 10:04 PM
theres a skin misalignment on the barrel

and about what devin said, i totally agree, running my site takes some dedication as well, but i have the privelege of doing things at my pace when i feel like it, it must be very hard for editor to keep up with all those releases.

In the rampant spirit of tangent posts, here're my two cents:

Fileplanet sucks because:
a) It's part of Gamespy, who have totally sold out and rid themselves of all worthy content; instead providing plenty of obnoxious advertising
b) They're partaking in a trend of exclusive file access for paying subscribers (i.e. BF1942 Desert Combat alpha for a week)
c) It's part of Gamespy
d) Fileshack.com is better and will quickly put up anyone's game related files

Having said that, let me say that there is nothing wrong with hosting your file at Fileplanet when you have limited resources to work with.

i download alot from editors321 sites, which is a very good site with a very good lay-out. Besides that, he keeps it up-to-date, something that makes it worth to visit it once a day.

About file-planet, i don't see a problem with it, almost everything from editor's site has no cue whatsoever, so there is no waiting. And for the files i want and there is a line, i go to google and search for what i want, 9 to 10 of those times i find an alternate download, again no wait for me.
I really do not see any problem with it.

Thanks editor for all the hosting you did so far, hope to download alot more from your site, you are doing a great job.

Well, im still go there occasionally to find out about new games. Seeing as almost all game developers deal with them, they get some exclusive stuff. You go where the information is. Im not sure about you, but i dont pay the website to read its content. Can you tell me where a website can get money from other than abit of advertising? I dont see gamespy using more ads than any other website. Considering the size of the operation their running ie being the premier video game download site ON EARTH, think about the servers they have to run, the t3 lines they have to keep operating. Not to mention the staff they have to employ to maintain it.

b) They're partaking in a trend of exclusive file access for paying subscribers (i.e. BF1942 Desert Combat alpha for a week)

The actual release date was saturday. They just gave a sneak preview to people who had an account. Its smart business. I dont see people *****ing at the dod team who allow people to playtest their version before the public.

People like you are just crying at the supermarket because you could only have one chocolate, whereas that boy over theres mother let him have two.

Again, noone is making you come to these forums. People who make this stuff can do whatever the hell they like with it. If you dont like it, get used to the default models and quit stealing bandwidth from people who actually apreciate the work shown here.

I guess you've NEVER heard of Server Maintenance, paying people to get the Info, Filming Games, and all the other tedious work that'll NEVER be done by a hardcore fan.

b) They're partaking in a trend of exclusive file access for paying subscribers (i.e. BF1942 Desert Combat alpha for a week)

It's not a trend, you need money to pay your employees, and how are you going to pay them if you don't have a cash flow? You need Subscribers for money, and why would they pay to get things for free? That's why you need Subscription Advantages. You sir, have no concept of money.

c) It's part of Gamespy

Oh that was a good one, come up with that one by yourself slick?

d) Fileshack.com is better and will quickly put up anyone's game related files

Funny how the're going to "Sell Out" too. Good Going, think before you post.

Chill out ppl, I was about to write something bout the tommy shoulder but this caught my attention.

1- Fileshack sucks alot more then fileplanet. Thats completly absurd to put fileshack in front of fileplanet. It took me 1 week to get my password and their servers are SLOW AS HELL. End of story for fileshack.

2- Fileplanet offers a FREE download database to anyone. Offering all their free servers to you, YOU CANNOT COMPLAIN when you have a queue. You just wait or go find another link!

3- Ive been more happy then not happy with fileplanet so give em a break. They offer a great deal. For 20 bucks you get fast, reliable & secure file download. I think thats fair concidering they don't get their employes and servers for free.

4- Im not a fileplanet subscriber but It is still the first place I check out for gaming files. Probably as well the place were I downloaded the most Gigs!

--------------------------------------------------

About the mdls!

The shoulder model is definitly a must have. Well atleast until custom models will be made. I have made a reskin of the shoulder mdl & found myself a good sound as well.

The reskin is a duo-tone (darker wood, and top of metal a little darker. The shadow tones are upgraded as well)

I will post a new thread with the sound & reskin as I will go take a screen in-game when I finish writing this :D

Check it out!
