Here you go,

These are the 1.1 player models that came with the 1.1 beta patch rolled out tonight (15/11/2003).

DoD 1.1 Player Models (http://195.242.41.140/dod/DoD_1.1_player_models.zip)

Differences over 1.0 are.

- 9 blend animations per weapon.
- no bone controllers.

To convert a 1.0 custom model to 1.1 requires the folllowing:

- Decompile the old model
- Replace all of the old animation SMD's with the new ones
- Updated the QC to include the new animations and remove the controllers
- Recompile.

You can find all of the new animation SMDS and a sample QC file here:

DoD 1.1 Anims and QC (http://195.242.41.140/dod/1.1_anims.zip)

*Please mirror these files* - I cant guarantee how long the server hosting them will be on-line

Excellent.

BTw!! I have had more fun playing dod 1.1 in the last 3 hours than i have had playing 1.0 in the last 6 months.

Mg42 causes utter destruction
The garand is awesome
The k98 is a shadow of its former self, yet still effective in the hands of a good player.

You've got two http's in the animation link, it could confuse people.

@ trp...i have absolutely no modeling experience but i have a folder of all my custom 1.0 models (which are awesome i might add)

however i dont know who made them or where i got them cuz it was so long ago...if i want to update these to 1.1 myself can u please release a tutorial or something to tell me how to do it

also it'd be nice to know what programs im gonna need to do this...i dont wanna bug any modelers to do it for me, so id prefer to jus do it myself and who knows...maybe id play around with the editor and make my own models...

if u could that'd be very cool

Question: Does that 'yourmodel.qc' file apply to all the sides of the teams? Are the body groupings for all the teams the same now?

I just checked the default models and they appear to retain the same sub models as they did in 1.0.

Great, that means I can finish this Russian paratrooper sooner. ;)

I've been using these models with a new skin on them (applied with hlmv) and it seems, the kar animations are messed up for me. The model looks in the direction he's looking normally, but the gun is held sideways.

Not sure why it's doing this, but only for the kar (kar98, scoped kar, kar43) and kinda wondering why it would be doing it if these are the normal 1.1 models.

If you have any clue what it is (perhaps applying the new textures messed something up) or have a way to fix it (new batch of these extracted models or should try recompiling them with the new compiler) lemme know. Never compiled models before, but willing to learn to get this to be right...

Thanks in advance.
