I've just been learning HTML and decided to put together a custom map page for our dod group. It's rather basic and there's no home page yet but I'll be working on them shortly.

www.907thcustom.com

It's got about 45 maps at present and I have another 25 on my HD to add over the next few days.

Thanks

Agrippa

gj, I like the fact that you used small overview pictures for your downloads.

GJ heres a tip thoguh, HTML is VERY labour intesive to store groups or large ammounts of information. If you want to host a good site you hould probably learn a language like PHP to organize them much more efficantly for you and anyone accessing the site. GJ though :D

did u do that using your own html in Notepad or did u use a web program?

I made slight alterations in notepad but for the most part I made it in Photoshop using slices etc.

Nice.. but can "you" afford the bandwidth?

Well, I have 70gb/mo at the moment. Not sure if that will be enough but it will do for now until I sort out some other arrangements.

Not bad.. just thought you might want to consider what your setting yourself up for before you get in over your head. I hope you don't mind the "in the long run" advice.

I don't mind at all. I'm new to web hosting etc so I appreciate the advice :)

Holy Smokes Batman....Bierville_b3!

That must be about a year out of date. Try finding the "final" version that I released about 6 months ago.

httP://www.dodmaps.com should have it.

Yay! New custom maps website.
It would however be better if you had a list of all the maps on one page, rather than having to click through pages.

It would also be good if maps featured ratings...

Just some suggestions... genrally a nice website though :)

Yeah, on the first page you have belgium3 and clervaux2

There are more current, 1.0-compatible versions of both. I have them, PM/ICQ me and we can arrange transport. ;)
