Para Tommy standard and elite versions

MaRzY'S Para Tommy

My only niggle with the model, is it would of been nicer to have a longer time frame for the draw anims and reload. And also it would of been nice if the tommy class had it's own knife model like in Dod 3.1. So because of this i would say the elite version is more suited to an elite thompson user, like myself...:)

Hand Models - Default, modifed by Ripa with further edits made by MaRzY
Small sleeve and hand: Dod dev team (3arm versions only)
Large sleeve models: MaRzY
Bullet: MaRzY
Sling model: Dod dev team

Textures:

Thompson & bullet: Polygon
Para Knife and sheath: Trigger with further edits made by MaRzY
Hands: Dod dev team recolour by MaRzY
Sleeves & sling: Dod dev team.

Animations:
Thompson: Dod dev team and MaRzY
Knife: Dod dev team and MaRzY
Sling: Sushi
Extra bones: MaRzY


Installation:

Copy either the 2arm or 3 arm v_tommy model and v_amerk.mdl from the models folder
to your dod\models folder, and the knife_draw.wav from the sounds folder to your
dod\sounds\weapons folder.

.Bat files

The archive also includes some .bat files for both 2arm and 3arm versions of the para
tommy. These files will let you make personal preferences to the model, like shoulder view origins and static idle amims etc. So if you would like to change the model from
it's default release, just open your .bat file of choice and it will generate 2 new model files, v_tommy model and v_amerk.mdl in the same folder as the bat files. Once finished copy these models to your dod\models folder.

Differences between 3arm and 2arm:
I made a 3 arm version, that works by using a smaller hand and sleeve model to pull the bolt back, because IMO the 2 arm version hand and sleeve looked to big, due to Halflifes FOV. The only other differnce is polycount, so those with lower spec PC might find the 2 arm version better performance wise.

good work... probably the last thing ill ever download for this game and probably the last mod ill ever use in the game. basketball is starting up, dont have time for computer games. good news for all of you, no more requests lol. nice touch on this mod marzy and everyone else involved.

how do i get the animations of the knife being drawn from the tommy?

*edit* by the way, could someone post the knifedraw.wav for those of us just using steam? thanks!

one more thing, i put the 3-arm tommy model and the knife model into my models folder and now whenever i draw the tommy, it plays the knifedraw sound and viceversa for the knife.

You need to be using the elite version for this to happen.

The sound file knifedraw.wav is included in the elite version only, because the standard version does not use it.

It's my fault and thanks for pointing this out to me, i left a sound event in the qc files for the standard version, that only belongs to the elite version. I have since fixed this problem and up loaded the standard pack again, with fixed models and QC files, i am sorry about that, so please download it again.

Also anyone that has been hosting the Standard pack, would you please download it and upload it again to your web space, again i'm sorry about that.

I'm not sure i know what you mean Trigger, do you mean sticking the punch anim on the standard version..?.

I've been thinking about putting the edited hands and reload anim on the default tommy with extra's that i released not long back, i would make both 3 and 2 arm versions. But i just wondered if it was worth doing, any one got any thoughts on this..?.

Sorry to raise a dead thread but I cannot recompile the elite shoulder tommy (3 arms) with dillingers us & axis sleeves, studiomdl always freezes.

Is there a file size limit on models or something? because the sleeves add a lot.

Any help appeciated.

Try adding $externaltextures to the qc, if the texture limit is why you can't compile, that will fix it.
