I definatly think so. Now that we've actually seen what the HL modified DoD engine can do with the 1.0 upgrade, I think I'll definatly change some stuff, like the overall detail in wide-open areas. But one thing i wont add, is the particle effect. When a few nades are going off, and you have a particle generator right next to you, my fps take a huge hit for a short amount of time. But htis is just me. Will you re-think the way you think about designs???

Yeah. I was making a new map and since I have seen the greatness of the new maps, have set that to the side temporarily for possible upgrading later and started a new map that is more dynamic like the new maps...for example, some of the new maps have many buildings that are rotated in slightly different directions, as opposed to the old maps, where most of the buildings were all facing the same way, making the levels look a lot more 'square'. I like the change in the new version. There also seem to be lots of little objects such as small planks of wood, chairs, etc. in the rubble in the new maps. Are those models, or just well-made brushes? And if they are models, anyone know how to put them in? :) This is my first post here since the forums were re-made :)

The new maps are deffinatly the best in any dod release and look less like they are powered by hl and more like thye are powered by q3 but i will not be changing my map designs at all
