For the momment, I have the following 1820 solids and 11400 faces.
1. Does the error mean that I just have too many brushes?
2. What is the maxium permitted?
Thanks

Knowing HL mapsizes, that's going to be laggy as hell.

I dunno if this will help you:

It might help you.

From the web site:

Errors Compiling (http://www.slackiller.com/tommy14/errors.htm#numplanes)

ReadSurfs (line 99416): 32189 > g_numplanes or max_map_planes

Before you go wild, try a recompile or 2 - sometimes it is just a random thing. It has not been random, it is repetitive, leider.

There are no brushes with 32 faces or similar.
What it can only be causing it is the number of bruses used to make the map, which is not so huge. Something like overlord and other open area maps. About 1800 solids and 11ooo faces.

What numbers do you have in your maps?

I will then have to decrease the complexity of the map, starting by the spawn points for both armies and then continue.
