HLCSG Problem

Whenever I try to compile my map to see if everything's working, I get this error. I looked around and the only solution I could really find was to make sure there was nothing within 64 units of the map limit. I shrunk the skybox to 4000x4000x4000 and I still get the problem. What can I do to find the problem and how do I fix it?

well the simplest thing to do is goto each of these brushes and delete them. how do you know whcih brushes they are? it gives you the number right. you simply use the "goto brush" function in Hammer. and then press the delete key.

on a different note, thats not how you do a skybox!!!!! you use it like a ceiling for your outside areas. thinkf of a cube. to make the cube seem outdoors in HL all you do is make the top brush covered in "sky", you don't draw another cube round it, which is essentialy what you are doing.

Keep all entities (point and brush entities) within the "enclosed" area. See the example map I made to see what I mean (I know its really basic crapola!).

-the map uses textures from the Halflife.wad and hlbasics.wad.

So basically, no floor with the sky texture and have each of the 6 faces an individual brush(I tried that first, then it didn't work and just made a brush and hollowed it, and it still didn't work). Ok, I'll give that a try.

I went to the brush numbers, it's the sky brushes. Can someone download what I have done of the map so far(very little, no previews here) and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Also, that rock brush on the bottom is a placeholder.

The map is RIGHT on the edge of the limits of the map range.

Also, thats a HUGE open area- HL will be in extreme agony (r_speeds wise). Firstly, lower the sky, then make the open area much smaller.

Also, you've got LOADS of overlapping brushes- always an r_speed killer.

The func_water I think is cutting into some of the brushes.

Heres a slight update for you:
I've lowered the sky, and put the brushes, etc WELL away from the map edge/limit thingy.

Guess I'll stick to using a moving sprite for my bombers instead of a model, but I still can't get it to load, it's stuck on validating resources.

I wouldn't use a moving sprite- would probably cause quite a bit of LAG. I would rule out having a bomber in that open space, its just too much for HL I'm afraid.

HL2 maybe...
