i understand that the .cfg file controls the class limits, how do i limit sniper to 1 on each team and and 1 mg for allies and 2 mgs for axis...

i am correct in saying it looks like this, but this is from a 3.1 map so it may be different??

"echo <mapname>.cfg loaded

mp_limitalliesgarand -1
mp_limitalliescarbine -1
mp_limitalliesthompson -1
mp_limitalliesgreasegun -1
mp_limitalliesspring 1
mp_limitalliesbar -1
mp_limitallies30cal -1

mp_limitaxiskar -1
mp_limitaxisk43 -1
mp_limitaxisscopedkar 1
mp_limitaxismp40 -1
mp_limitaxismp44 -1
mp_limitaxisfg42 -1
mp_limitaxismg34 1
mp_limitaxismg42 1"

is this correct?

Correct. But the last command should be
echo <mapname>.cfg loaded

C'mon get mroe creative. put something like
<mapname> class limits are engaged
or sometinhg better than .cfg loaded!

Or at the top of the config you could have;

echo Class settings are engaging.....

then at the bottom under all you class limit settings have;

echo Class settings engaged and operating....

Yeah AB. Usually I put "Config for 16 players loaded - no sniperfest today".

fyi, server admins will be able to edit this... but if they're the kind of admins that allow 7 snipers that means they're likely not paying attention, in which case they wouldn't catch/edit your .cfg.
