I'm making a dark map, but the water is WAY to bright and it looks AWEFUL. How do I fix this "illumianted" water problem so it looks normal, not BRIGHT! :p

Peace

Making it solid doesnt allow it to be semi transparent... so solid doesnt really help.

Set the render mode to "Texture" and lower the render amount.

Render Fx =Normal
Render Mode = Texture
FX Amount = 150

try that

I'd have used 64 or 32, because 150 will probably look too bright in anything other than direct sunlight.

oh no 64? try 100 please thatīs the best for water i think! ;)

take the ! out from infront of the texture name is the only way for water to not emit rad, HL engine is just programmed that way.

I try any of the variable and the water goes invisible, but its still there, ive tryed solid, texture, and amounts of 60, 100, 150 etc.

but if i dont set the water as an entity then it works fine, tho its really bright.

Ill try taking out the !
